For the swimmers on our waitlist, an assessment date has been scheduled: Monday April 19th at 5:45pm. This will be an opportunity for swimmers to swim for our coaches. Currently, our team is VERY full. If you would like to be added to the waitlist, please contact Cindy Sperling at winsling@rocketweb.net.

Congratulations to each of you for a wonderful winter season. Reflect on how far you have come these past 4 months, your work and consistence has paid off in the pool. I attribute much of our success this season to the idea that we spent less time getting into shape and more time on the little things that make us faster.
March is a good time for a little rest before we begin out Summer season on April 5th. During March please try to make it to 2 to 3 swim workouts a week as well as both of the weights sessions. Stay active. No one wants to start over in April. Summer is upon us and I can’t wait.

After seeding the meet, we have decided to combine the two sessions for both Saturday and Sunday into one session each day.
Saturday Session I: Warm-up 10:00 a.m. Meet Start: 11:15 a.m. (timeline schedules 500's finish at 2:28 p.m.)
Sunday Session II: NOTE THIS IS A TIME CHANGE: Warm-up 8:30 a.m. Meet start at 9:45 (timeline schedules finish at 12:39 p.m.)
Heat Sheets are posted. Please print them out and bring them to the meet since GDJ will not be selling programs.

Team Hiring a Team Manager

At our last board meeting we determined that our team has gotten to the size that we need to hire a Team Manager. This position will take care of all the administrative chores of running a team our size, including treasurer, registrar, entry chair, etc. Because this is something brand new for us as a team, we would like to hold a parent meeting to address any of your concerns or questions, and to hear any other suggestions you might have. We will also discuss exactly what we will expect of this person and have applications available for anyone interested in applying.
This meeting will be at 5:30pm on Thursday, Jan 14th. It will be held in the conference room at the pool.

Silas Senior Practice a Go...

Monday December 21st. Workout at Mesa State is a go. Please be at the pool by 8am. You will need your equipment. Go to 12th street until you reach the soccer field at mesa state across from Albertsons. Park on the top of the parking structure that is to the south of the soccer field. Enter the building for the top of the parking structure.
This workout is for all senior swimmers that have been in my group for at least the past summer. If you are new to this group this fall I will see you at Monday afternoon's workout in Montrose.
1. You can't swim without a picture ID. We have to prove you are who you say you are to get into the pool. If you have your USA Swimming card, please bring it as well.
2. It costs $5 per swimmer to use the pool. The Marlins will cover half the costs, and bill you for the rest.
